What you'll learn in this drawing class:

This class is intended for those who have taken a foundation course and would like to develop their skills further. Students will learn how to transition from drawing into an oil painting. Through a series of projects, we will work from prints of master works (supplied by teacher) and explore how to apply principles of drawing, light and color mixing. Each class begins with a demonstration or lecture followed by one-on-one instruction. Through email, the instructor will supply all prints of master works, lecture notes and give additional feedback (once per week). Optional homework and outside reading will be assigned so students may work independently to reinforce the concepts from class.

Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

100% refund will be issued up to seven days after the first class. After this, no refund will be issued.

MAKE-UP POLICY
Unfortunately, we do not offer makeup classes. The instructor can tell them what they missed. Most of our classes are taught atelier style. If there is a demonstration during the particular session, after the demonstration the instructor goes to each student to work with them on a one-to-one basis. During this time the instructor can work with the student who missed the previous week, talk with them and explain what to do.

Dennis is a knowledgeable, likeable teacher. The class focuses on painting more than drawing, and most of the instruction is done individually as Dennis goes from student to student to discuss their work. Many good insights are offered.
