Located in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, DC The Chocolate House is a tasting room and boutique store where you can experience over 300 unique chocolate bars and confections from artisan chocolate makers and chocolatiers from all corners of the world.
First opened as Biagio Fine Chocolate and later renamed Cocova, our store has been promoting fine chocolate for over nine years.
We are as committed as ever to curating the best possible collection of chocolate and as part of this mission we have decided on a new name and logo to better reflect our mission and goals for the future.
Cocova is now The Chocolate House.
Our name's inspiration comes from the English tradition of chocolate houses in the 18th century that were gathering places for discussion, debate, festivity, and, of course, chocolate consumption. The cacao pod in the logo is representative of our focus on the true source of chocolate: the cacao tree and cacao farmers. The makers we carry are committed to high quality, healthy cacao and fair, ethical relationships with farmers.
As we grow, we will be expanding our collection of chocolate, our chocolate class offerings, and our local arts and cultural events.
