Teaches at The Art Studio NY
Cynthia Cutting is a life-long educator and maker. Cynthia believes the experience of artmaking can be valuable and enriching for anyone and everyone. She has taught art in public and private schools, working with students of all ages, from kindergarten through high school, as well as adults. Cynthia’s passion is to collaborate with students, community members, businesses, and organizations to build positive, creative, and compassionate learning experiences. She meets every student where they are, listening and responding to their individual needs, skill sets, and goals, and she uses her natural positive and encouraging attitude to create a welcoming and empowering learning environment for all.
Cynthia facilitates creative exploration through drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, book making, and more.
In her own professional art practice, Cynthia began as a painter, working primarily in oil painting, acrylic painting, and mixed media art, and she more recently identifies as an eco artist, focusing on nature and repurposed materials. Her artwork centers around the relationship between humans and nature.
Cynthia has a BFA in Studio Art and an MFA in Visual Art. Her artwork has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
