This class will introduce the indigenous science of plants into a practice that is easy to have at home Plants heal community, as many cultures and traditions use the same plants. We will: prepare healing remedies from basic kitchen herbs and spices, wild weeds, cultivated flowers, and plants; introduce several methods of plant preparation used by Curanderas such as tinctures, liniments, gels, syrups, compresses and poultices; talk about common ailments, and how to treat them. Please bring a family plant, or one you’ve learned about, to share in story.

Note: This workshop will now be offered online. Sessions of all our online programs will be recorded and shared with registrants after each is completed for a limited time only.
