Learn to Sew Lab | At Home

This is an online class. The classes will be taught through live video instruction. Students must have their own sewing machine, tools & supplies.

This 4-class "learn to sew" class that can be taken anywhere in the world. Students will learn basic sewing skills, in addition to basic pattern reading skills used in creating fashionable accessories and basic clothing.

Each class will be project oriented and each student will leave with their finished wearable projects which include an origami purse and a pair of pajamas/lounge pants.

Tools & Supplies Needed:

Supplies for this class are not included.

If taking the class at home and you do not live locally, you must purchase supplies from us online at least 1 week prior to the start date of the class. Supplies will be mailed to you. If you live close to studio, arrangements can be made to pick up supplies from the studio. You must purchase supplies at least 2 days prior to the class start. 

Tools needed for At Home Class: 

1. sewing machine
2. scissors
3. thread
4. computer printer
5. scotch tape
6. printer paper
7. pencil or writing utensil that shows up on your fabric
8. ruler and/or tape measure
9. seam ripper
   

1. 1/2 yard heavyweight cotton fabric or denim 
2. 1/2 yard lightweight cotton fabric for lining 
3. 1/2 yard medium weight interfacing

• Pajama Bottoms

1. 2 Yards of light weight cotton fabric (quilters cotton) or cotton flannel
