Has learning how to crochet been on your to-do list? You’re in luck because we’re bringing back one of our popular beginner classes from 2017 and refreshing it for the upcoming spring season! Grab your yarn and crochet hook and join us to learn how to make fun (and functional!) crochet coasters while building on your craft skills and knowledge!

In this 2 hour workshop we’ll cover all the basics you need to start your new crochet obsession, including how to create foundational stitches like single stitch and chain stitch, that will set you up to be able to crochet (just about!) anything your heart desires!

In this CraftJam you will learn:

• How to read a pattern and understand terminology and abbreviations
• Foundational crochet stitches such as chain stitch and single crochet
• How to create crochet shapes like circles and petals
• How to add and switch yarn colors
• How to bind off and finish your crochet project

This is a beginner class, no previous crochet experience necessary! And if you’re interested in learning more, join us for our intermediate level amigurumi crochet workshop to continue your crochet journey with the next set of skills and techniques.

Suggested supplies:

• Worsted weight yarn - colors of your choice
• Stitch markers
• 5mm crochet hook (size H-8)
• PDF download of crochet patterns (the file will be attached to your ticket email)

And this is how a WebJam works:

After you purchase your ticket, you will receive an email with a custom URL link to join. You will be able to add the event to your calendar. Reminder emails will be sent 2 hour and 45 minutes prior to the start. Make sure to login a few minutes before the WebJam starts to avoid technical difficulties that may delay you.

While using Zoom we strongly recommend video participation. Unlike traditional webinars, we’re keeping our classes small and intimate. CraftJam was founded to foster community amongst its participants and part of this is seeing and interacting with each other as well as the option to receive feedback and support for your projects from your JamMaster.
