In this workshop, we'll learn the art of block printing on textiles. We'll start with a bit of history about the process and introduction to the materials. After a little discussion about how to carve and how your image will transfer, we get right into carving and printing!
A quick carve "Block" and all tools are provided, as well as textiles samples and paper. Come with a few images you might want to carve, no more than 4" square. Simple designs work best, and having a few options to choose from will be helpful.
You are welcome to bring your own materials to print on as well. Make sure fabrics are prewashed and ironed. You'll leave with your 4" square block, so you can continue printing on your own!

I'm currently offering credits for any cancellations made seven days or fewer to a class starting. I can't afford to do cash refunds right now, but credits are fine if the spot is canceled any time before the start date (even if less than 72 hours). Spots that are canceled more than seven days before the class starts are eligible for cash refunds.
If you're looking for a refund or class credit, you need to back out of the class a full week before it starts. (No exceptions!) We know it's draconian, but since we aren't charging an arm and a leg and have to buy all our materials in advance, it's kinda hard to deal with last-minute bailings.
We also can't transfer registrations to a future session of the class. Sorry!
Instead of dropping out if you have a schedule conflict, a better idea is to ask around and see if any of your friends want the spot. We can't give you a refund less than a week out, even if there's a wait list for the class.
Regarding bad weather, we generally only cancel classes if the subway system stops running. If traveling during snowstorms might be an issue for you, please take this into account before registering for a class.
